SCNA MONTHLY MEET-UPS

Each month, SCNA hosts a monthly dinner and discussion group at different pizza parlors or restaurants around the greater Los Angeles area. This is a way to introduce new people to naturism and to dispel mistaken impressions that non-nudists may have about us. Anyone with a sincere interest in discussing naturist issues is welcome. This month's Meet-Ups:

August 5-8, 2010
AANR-WEST ANNUAL CONVENTION
DE ANZA SPRINGS NUDIST RESORT
Location: Jacumba, California (1 Hour East of San Diego).

This is the annual gathering of west coast AANR club delegates (mostly representing the parks and resorts). SCNA delegates will participate in several of the meetings (Marketing, Government Affairs, etc). De Anza is located about an hour's drive east of San Diego, with a nice restaurant. Camping and RV sites are available. Give us a call by July 15 if you are interested in attending as a voting delegate from SCNA

Saturday August 14, Noon to 8PM
DEER PARK LUAU AND KAROKE DAY
$10/person (if more than 12 RSVP by 8/12, otherwise $15/person)

Wear your grass skirt (or less) during the day. Then sing Karaoke with Derrick from 6 - 10pm in the evening. Upper Snack bar opens at 10 am for drinks, Lunch will be available 10 am-2 pm. Dinner begins at 5 pm. Come show off your singing talents starting at 6 pm.

Saturday-Sunday August 14-15
WEEKEND TRIP TO LUPIN LODGE
CELEBRATE THEIR 75TH ANNIVERSARY WITH US!
Location: Los Gatos, CA

Lupin celebrates its 75th year this weekend with lots of fun events and a spectacular dance Saturday night. We decided we want to be part of this historic events. Some yurt cabins still available ($60/night) and there are plenty of camping and RV spaces. A great restaurant, poolside snack bar, 2 Jacuzzis and swimming pools, art exhibits and did we mention the local deer and sweet smell of pine trees surrounding the grounds?

MID-SUMMER BACKYARD PARTY

$10.00/person (members) or $15.00/person (non-members)

Club will provide soft drinks/water. Please bring a side dish to share.
When you RSVP we will call you back and ask which food item you will bring so we can avoid duplications.

Because this is in a backyard, space is limited to 40, so be sure to call in your RSVP before August 21 to the club call center at (818) 225-2273.

GE TRAVEL CLUB DISCOUNT DAY
Location: Glen Eden, Corona
Gate Fee: $15/person

This is not an SCNA event, but once a month Glen Eden allows members of local travel (non-landed) clubs to come into their park at a discount rate simply by showing their SCNA membership card (this includes our "single males" and "married-singles.") Enjoy the pool, restaurant, volleyball, tennis, and hiking trails!
