SCNA Activity Calendar

SCNA promotes or hosts a wide variety of events throughout the year. We make every attempt to coordinate our events with those of other Southland clubs and resorts so that we may all support each other's wide variety of activities. Click the name of the month (below or at left) to see a description of the events scheduled for that time period.

Pool Party/BBQ Weekends |
There is nothing like getting an all-over tan in the privacy of a backyard, with a pool and Jacuzzi nearby. Some events may promote a different theme (Toga, Cinco de Mayo, Chili cook-off, etc.) but always there is a pot-luck or BBQ. We attempt to move each monthly party around geographically (San Gabriel Valley, West LA, San Fernando Valley, Ventura, Santa Barbara) so that they are convenient to the majority of members.

| Potpourri Weekends |
Often we sponsor a special event such as a trip to a museum, theater, etc. These are not always “clothing-optional.” One of our members owns a 41-ft sailboat so we also try to include a few open water trips out to the Channel Islands during the summer months.

| Resort/Beach Weekend |
One weekend each month we arrange for special club discounts at one of the existing naturist resorts or parks, or we may spend that weekend at a local nude beach (San Onofre, Avila/Pirate’s Cove, More Mesa.) Our club card is accepted at Glen Eden (Corona), Deer Park (Devore), Olive Dell (Colton), and Desert Sun (formerly Desert Shadows in Palm Springs.) Members are especially fond of attending these resorts’ special themed weekends such as the Nudestock music festival, a Polynesian Luau, Body Painting, Volleyball tournament, Karaoke Night, etc.)

General Membership Meetings |
Regular monthly meetings of the member-elected Executive Board are open to all paid members. Election meetings are held each July. This is a participatory culture, so we hope you will volunteer some time to help us with party activities, newsletter mailings, or our community services.

SCNA MONTHLY MEET-UPS
DINNER & DISCUSSION GROUP
Each month, SCNA hosts a monthly dinner and discussion group at different pizza parlors or restaurants around the greater Los Angeles area. This is a way to introduce new people to naturism and to dispel mistaken impressions that non-nudists may have about us. Anyone with a sincere interest in discussing naturist issues is welcome. Dinners will be "dutch". Bring yourselves, some money for food, and your thoughts and enthusiasm. Also bring your curious friends and spouses!
Reservations are not required but a call to the SCNA Message Center at (818) 225-2273 or (805 910-8277 is appreciated so we can anticipate the head count.

“SECOND TUESDAY” OF EVERY MONTH
6:45PM – 8:30 PM
Location: Round Table Pizza, 17200 Saticoy St, Van Nuys
Directions: SE corner of Louise and Saticoy, next to the Washington Mutual bank). We have reserved a private meeting room in the back of the restaurant.

“THIRD MONDAY” OF EVERY MONTH

Location: Coco's Restaurant 77 N Lake Ave Pasadena, CA 91105.
Directions: Two blocks south of the 210 Freeway (Lake Ave. offramp) between Walnut St and Colorado Blvd.
We'll be in the semi-private Banquet room in the back of the restaurant.

Location: Coco's Restaurant 18120 Hawthorne Blvd.in Torrance.
Directions: Northeast corner of Hawthorne Blvd and 182nd St, about a mile south of the San Diego (405) freeway.
We have a semi-private room in the back of the restaurant. (Ask for "SCNA" at the front counter in case you can't find us.)

Directions: 1 block west of the Pacific View Mall shopping center, north side of street Just NW of the 126 Fwy and 101 Fwy interchange (take the Main St off ramp). (“Coffee shop” food.)
