SCNA MONTHLY MEET-UPS

Each month, SCNA hosts a monthly dinner and discussion group at different pizza parlors or restaurants around the greater Los Angeles area. This is a way to introduce new people to naturism and to dispel mistaken impressions that non-nudists may have about us. Anyone with a sincere interest in discussing naturist issues is welcome. This month's Meet-Ups:

OUR ANNUAL HOLIDAY LUNCH,
GIFT EXCHANGE, and MEMBERS'AWARDS CEREMONY
Location: The Station Restaurant, Northridge CA
Prices: $30/person (kids under 18 are $15 each)

The location for 2010 is the same as last year. We are taking over an entire French-Italian restaurant in Northridge for the afternoon. It is centrally convenient to all members about 2 mi south of the 118 freeway off Tampa Avenue. We reserved the entire restaurant for the event. There was a choice of five main courses, 2 appetizers, and choice of soup or salad. Plus dessert (and wine!) Once we confirm this year's location, we will publish directions to those who RSVP at (818) 225-2273. Deadline to let us know if you are coming is Wed 12/15 so we can give the restaurant a head count for the food.

This is also our opportunity to thank those members who have volunteered above and beyond the call of duty during the past year. Our annual Ankh “Member of the Year” Award ceremony no doubt will be the highlight the event, as it is every year.

This is a clothed event, in fact, “business-attire” is recommended. This is also the one party each year where an individual can bring their non-nudist spouse or partner who would not otherwise share an event with us. The ideas is to provide a non-threatening opportunity to have them meet the rest of us and see that we don’t have horns and tails (except perhaps at Halloween!) We will have some fun exchanging white elephant gifts* and there may be a raffle drawing for some additional prizes.

*Note: “White elephant” gifts, for those of you who may not know, are usually old nick-knack items that have been stored in your garage or attic. It's mainly for laughs, so something outrageous is OK. If you decide to buy the gift instead, spend no more than $10 max. Your gift MUST be wrapped to participate, and that means one gift per person (please contribute two gifts if you are a couple.)
