SCNA MONTHLY MEET-UPS

Each month, SCNA hosts a monthly dinner and discussion group at different pizza parlors or restaurants around the greater Los Angeles area. This is a way to introduce new people to naturism and to dispel mistaken impressions that non-nudists may have about us. Anyone with a sincere interest in discussing naturist issues is welcome. This month's Meet-Ups:

Members of the Camping Bares travel club are travelling up from San Diego to visit us on Sunday, January 24. Claudia Kellersch, NEF (Naturist Education Foundation) Area rep and a longtime friend of SCNA, has decided to celebrate her birthday by taking her family and others from her club on the Amtrak Pacific Surfliner up the coast to Carpinteria for the day.

There, they plan to meet SCNA members for a day at Bates Beach. We hope to share an afternoon picnic, weather permitting, and then a return to Carpinteria to catch the train back in the evening.

If the weather is poor (as sometimes happens during the winter months), then we will take a quick group photo on the beach and return to Carpinteria to do some shopping, and have an early dinner in a local restaurant there. As planned now, the Camping Bares group will arrive in Carpinteria at the Amtrak station on Linden Avenue at 11:16 am. The train south is scheduled to leave at 7:15 pm.

Please call us at (818) 225-2273 if you wish to join the joint club event and birthday celebration. Most important: we need a few volunteer drivers to drive the Bares to Bates Beach and back, so if you can help with the transportation let us know that as well. You’re going to love these people. Their club motto declares they are “dedicated to the destruction of the fabric of society.”

All meals are “Dutch treat.”
