SCNA MONTHLY MEET-UPS

Each month, SCNA hosts a monthly dinner and discussion group at different pizza parlors or restaurants around the greater Los Angeles area. This is a way to introduce new people to naturism and to dispel mistaken impressions that non-nudists may have about us. Anyone with a sincere interest in discussing naturist issues is welcome. Celebrate Nude Recreation Week!
ANNUAL KITE-FLYING CONTEST
BATES BEACH, CARPINTERIA

Celebrate Nude Rec Week at Bates Beach with a Kite Flying Contest! Please bring-your-own kite and string. We will have a picnic about 2PM and Volleyball game (if we have enough players.)

We need to demonstrate to the local residents and government officials that there are a great number of people wanting a part of the beach designated (with signage) for nude use. Coming down to the beach is your way of voting with your bare feet!

Remember, this is a bathing-suited event since we have not yet won approval from the County, so dress appropriately - your skimpiest flesh-colored bikinis and swimsuits! (We will be handing out nude "body parts" photos to clip onto your swimsuits. If we can't be nude, then the police will just have to appreciate our artwork instead!) And be creative with your "Kite art" also!

AANR WORLD RECORD SKINNY-DIP
LOCATION: CAMARILLO, NO CHARGE TO ATTEND

At precisely Noon (Pacific Nudist Time) nudists all over the world will skinny-dip simultaneously in nudist club swimming pools and on beaches in order to set a new Guinness World Record by beating last year's total of just over 13,500. To participate you MUST be in the pool at exactly 12 NOON as an official counter from Guinness will be present to count everyone - you CAN'T be late! Plan to arrive 30 minutes early so you can register for the event.

ANNUAL ELECTION OF SCNA OFFICERS
MEETING FOR MEMBERS ONLY, NO CHARGE TO ATTEND

After the Skinny-Dip Record is set, members will retire to a corner of the backyard and elect 7 new members of our SCNA Board of Directors to serve for the next 12 months. We do this every year and we encourage everyone to participate. This is a volunteer organizations and we are only as good as those who help out!

This party is our way of saying “thank you” to all the members for your contributions and support during the year. Bring a pot luck item and a folding chair. A BBQ is available if you wish to cook a main dish for yourself.

There is plenty of backyard sun to enjoy! This lovely home is on a hill overlooking Camarillo. It has an indoor pool (with a rope swing!), Jacuzzi, and a beautiful grassy backyard with a fire pit. DJ music will be provided by Rolf.

TO-GA! TO-GA! TO-GA! By popular demand we have brought back the Toga-theme so dig out those special sheets and let's see some creativity out there! We will vote just before dinner for for the best costume with a great prize for the winner. A group photo will be taken for those who wish to pose for our newsletter and scrapbook.

WINE TASTING! As we did last year, we will also have representatives from a local winery who will have samples available. Persons interested can purchase punch cards at the registration desk to sample up to five wines during the day. Bottles will be available for purchase.

SWEEPSTAKES DRAWING!- At last, the time has come to pick the winners of our 4-month Sweepstakes Contest with great prizes donated by Terra Cotta Inn, Laguna del Sol, and De Anza Springs for two days and two nights at these excellent nudist resorts. We will also have some other great prizes to raffle including an SCNA membership, a Naturist Society membership, and an AANR membership.

Bring your tie-dye shirts, sheets or sarongs and join in the fun! Or else relax by the upper pool. Lunch will be available at the Pavilion Snack Bar until 2PM and dinner will be available there at 5pm. Discount for SCNA members staying overnight in cabin, RV spot, or tent. RETURN TO GLEN EDEN FOR A
PICNIC WITH THE OLYMPIAN CLUB!

Gate Fee: $15 if on advanced list, plus $5 to Olympians
LOCATION: GLEN EDEN SUN CLUB, CORONA

The Olympian Club of Sun City has invited SCNA to join them for a day at Glen Eden and a pot luck dinner later in the afternoon. They have also issued to SCNA a Bean Bag Baseball Challenge we can't resist accepting. More about that below.

Wine and Cheese Reception 2PM
Ronnie says "Glen Eden is so excited that you guys are coming, they are providing a cake and wine." What a nice way to re-introduce ourselves to the nice people at Glen Eden and to meet members of the Olympian club as well. This reception will be at the Western Nudist Library Building alongside the Connett (formerly called Kennedy) Grove.

Picnic 4PM
The picnic will be in the Connett Grove at 4pm. It will include hot dogs, hamburgers, salads, desserts and soft drinksand there is a separate $5.00 per person payable to the Olympian Club at that time. Yes, and for those few cheapskates among us you who want to bargain and go to the picnic but not eat, you still have to pay the $5.

Bean Bag Baseball 4PM
If you are good at throwing bean bags at a target 30 feet away, that is all the skill you need. SCNA pride is at stake here! Anyone up for the challenge? We are encouraging all SCNA members to take advantage of this special day! When you check in tell them your name is on the list for the SCNA-Olympian Picnic and pay the special gate fee of $15. Yes, single men are ok as long as they are on the advanced list.
