SCNA MONTHLY MEET-UPS

Each month, SCNA hosts a monthly dinner and discussion group at different pizza parlors or restaurants around the greater Los Angeles area. This is a way to introduce new people to naturism and to dispel mistaken impressions that non-nudists may have about us. Anyone with a sincere interest in discussing naturist issues is welcome. LOCATION: DEVORE (NEAR GLEN HELEN REGIONAL PARK)

(You must show your SCNA card at the gate to get this rate. You don’t pay us, you pay Deer Park at the gate.)

• The upper pool, Jacuzzi and pavilion are now open, so we will meet there at noon.
• The park is holding their annual Scavenger Hunt around the Upper pool pavilion at about 1:00 pm, and we have been invited to participate.
• Lunch available 10 am-2 pm, Dinner available at 5 pm
• Rock the night away with The Phoenix Rising Band

You must RSVP to us at (818) 225-2273 before 6/17 so we can give Deer Park a list for their office and send you directions. There are several overnight cabins for rent, plus RV/Camper hook-ups should you wish to stay overnight.

SUMMER SOLSTICE PARADE,
SANTA BARBARA
There is No Charge to Attend this Event! (Buy your own food and drink).

SCNA and the Nude Beach Alliance will be at the parade, which starts on State Street at Cota Street at Noon and go north to Micheltorena north of the courthouse. 100,000 people are expected to line the streets to see 1000 floats, bands, dancers, and other wacky participants in this city's equivalent to the Pasadena "Doo Dah Parade" and we will be there along the parade route and also at the arts & crafts bazaar afterwards wearing our club T-shirts and handing out literature promoting restoration of the nude section of Bates Beach. Call us if you want to help out. Should be a fun day!

Driving Directions (and where we will be on the parade route):

From Los Angeles, exit at Garden St (see red arrow on map) and travel north about 3 long blocks to E Ortega. Turn left and try to find a parking spot in that area. Alternative: Drive past the downtown exit to Cabrillo St, turn right (see arrow on map) and try to park as you approach State Street from the west. We will meet at 11 am under a big tree on the west side of State Street near the downtown mall entrance
(Map Quest to 651 Paseo Nuevo) where Ortega St crosses State St.
