This recipe comes from my great-grandmother, who was born in Rotterdam, Holland, in 1882.
| 6 large red apples |
| 1 cup flour |
| 2 tsp baking powder |
| 1/4 tsp salt |
| 1 tbsp sugar |
| 1 egg, beaten |
| 1/2 cup milk |
| oil for deep frying |
| powdered sugar |
