January 2014 Calendar
SCNA MONTHLY MEET-UPS

Each month, SCNA hosts a monthly (clothed) dinner and discussion group at different public restaurants around the greater Los Angeles area. This is a way to introduce new people to naturism and to dispel mistaken impressions that non-nudists may have about us. This meeting is also a required pre-requisite before we can invite you to one of our clothing-optional parties. Anyone with a sincere interest in discussing naturist issues is welcome. This month's Meet-Ups:

San Fernando Valley: Tuesday January 14, 6:45PM – 8:30 PM
Pasadena/Glendale: Monday January 20, 6:45PM to 8:30PM
South Bay/Torrance: Thursday January 23, 6:45PM – 8:30 PM

RSVP early to (818) 225-2273 so we can get a head count and arrange for car pooling.

SATURDAY JANUARY 18, NOON – 6:00 PM
“NUDE AT THE GETTY” SCAVENGER HUNT
OPEN TO MEMBERS AND NON-MEMBER GUESTS
$15 PARKING FEE
PLUS $5 to SCNA at the event
(to cover event prep fees)

This popular event has become an annual tradition for SCNA. No, you will not find this listed in the Getty Museum catalog, this is an event WE made up for ourselves! Members and guests will assemble at a designated place to start, then you have to search the museum art galleries for the name of specific pieces that match the nudist clues given you. The entire hunt should take about 3 hours. Winner gets a nice prize.

We have invited other nudist travel clubs to join us also. Event goes on rain or shine, since we will be indoors most of the time. As a bonus, the Getty is hosting a Maplethorpe exhibit during January. If you have not seen the works of this controversial photographer, it will be worth the whole trip!

If you have not been there, the Getty Museum sits atop a hill in the Sepulveda Pass overlooking West Los Angeles. The museum has a restaurant where we will eat afterwards. We will try to arrange for car pooling, but no promises. Call us at (818) 225-2273 to RSVP.
